Sequim Food Bank

The Sequim Food Bank is a community food bank whose mission is to provide food and assistance to families and organizations in our community. Offering a balance of nutritious food is a priority for the Sequim Food Bank and we continue to strive toward the vision that “No one goes hungry in our community.”

Over the last 10 years, the Sequim Food Bank has created relationships and partnerships with local farms and gleaning programs to offer a balance of locally sourced nutritious food for our visitors. This year, we are contracting with three local farms to purchase fresh produce as well as receive local produce through programs including the Olympic Peninsula Farmers Fund and the WSDA Farm to Food Pantry Program.

We highlight local farm items and provide recipe ideas for seasonal abundances. In recent years, the Sequim Food Bank has been part of a program, Cooking with the Seasons for Health, offering nutrition education and hands-on cooking classes to families in Clallam County. This project, however, has been put on hold for the time being.

As we move forward, we will continue our collaborative work in fighting hunger and promoting health!
