EAT LOCAL FIRST OLYMPIC PENINSULA COLLABORATIVE PARTNER

Jefferson County Farmers Market Association (JCFM) creates marketplaces to directly connect farmers and artisan food and craft vendors with a diverse customer base; foster community well-being through education and food access; and promote a strong local economy. We host the Port Townsend and Chimacum Farmers Markets as well as an online farm-direct store through our website.

A little history:

The Port Townsend Farmers Market was founded by a small group of farmers in 1992 in a downtown parking lot near city hall. This year, the non-profit Jefferson County Farmers Markets (JCFM), hosts two vibrant farmers markets, one in Port Townsend on Saturday, as well as the Chimacum Farmers Market on Sundays. Plus they began an online Farmers Market due to Covid-19, NEW THIS YEAR.

The Port Townsend Saturday Farmers Market was recognized by the Washington State Farmers Market Association in 2011 as one of the state’s leading large farmers markets.

Between the three markets, they now have more than 80 vendors offering products from fresh produce, pasture-raised meat, eggs, and fish to artisan prepared food, arts and crafts. JCFM also provides booth space for a rotation of Jefferson County nonprofits as well as public health organizations.
